MENS MOST DISTURBED WARD KNOWN AS SOUTHVIEW 2
The south end of Building 50, known as Southview 2, was known as the “men’s most disturbed ward”. The wards on the south side of Building 50 which were reserved for male patients were given even numbers, while those on the north side reserved for female patients were given odd numbers. The wards for the most disturbed patients were placed at the extreme ends of the building, so that any noise from these wards would have to pass over other divisions to be heard.
