Q: You just celebrated your 1-year anniversary here at The Village – congrats! How did Bohmey Boutique start? And what’s the best part of being at your location?
A: Thank you! I’ve loved our first year here—everyone at The Village is so welcoming, it really feels like one big family.

I started Bohmey in 2019 in a spare bedroom at home, began online, and opened my first brick-and-mortar in January 2020. We came to Traverse City in 2022, and moving into The Mercato last year was such a great decision—there’s so much energy here! Bohmey has thrived thanks to locals, tourists, and our online community. Fun fact: Bohmey as a business turned 7 this month!

Q: What do you wish people knew about Bohmey?
A: Bohmey is mostly a one-woman show (with some help from my lovely ladies), and everything is intentional. The shop is curated with clean beauty, timeless clothing, and everyday jewelry.

Our Bohmey Beauty line is a favorite—six Michigan-inspired perfume oils made in-house with nontoxic ingredients. By a landslide, our perfumes are the bestselling products—people just fall in love! We’re expanding soon to more body care products in these signature scents.

Q: Anything fun or new on the horizon?
A: Yes! We’re always adding new products and experiences. Expanding our beauty line to include body care in our signature scents is coming soon, and I can’t wait to share it with our customers. We also have a lot of fun events planned throughout the year!
