Munson Medical Center
A neighbor on the Commons. Repeatedly named one of the Top 100 Hospitals in the country, Munson Medical Center is a regional referral center, serving patients from 32 counties. With 368-inpatient beds and nearly 350 physicians representing 40 specialties, Munson is the largest hospital in northern Michigan, just a short walk from The Village. It is named after Dr. James Decker Munson, the long-serving first superintendent of the Northern Michigan Asylum.
The Grand Traverse Pavilions
Our next door neighbor on the Commons. They offer a varied-age constituency a broad range of health care and residential programs and services. Programs and services range from adult day and overnight respite, to child care, long-term skilled nursing, therapy services, and Alzheimer’s and related dementia care, to independent and assisted living. The have beautifully renovated several of the former State Hospital's North Cottages.
Grand Traverse Commons Redevelopment Corporation
